Basingstoke Hotel - Hook (Hampshire)

The property was fairly clean, the room was great-sized. The staff were both efficient and really polite. The food was great overall. The location of the hotel was nice, on the basis of everything else. Moreover, it was near the restaurant at breakfast, the surrounding area, and the leisure centre;))

The setting is comfy, it's near to the resturant, all the communal areas and the surrounding area.

The unit we got was good-sized with radiators.

The room was cheap, the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

I booked a week iin advance so got a really good price on the hotel. The room was comfortable, overlooked a nice patio garden and the pool area. Pool times were good - open from 7am to 10pm so was able to have a swim in the morning before breakfast. Breakfast was included although if I had to pay the advertised rate of £12.95 this is quite a lot extra to pay.

Nice atmosphere on arrival, helpful staff and comfortable room, you don't need more on a short stay

We were in a hurry, so stayed here only for 1 night, but everything was great. The location was prime - very close to the restaurant at breakfast, communal areas, and the gardens. It also was to the leisure centre. The stay was nice.

The staff were very rude, didn't expect that coming.

Buffet breakfast arrangement does not work, poorly sited and too small an area for the number of guests. The food however was good.

Location was great as I would be working in Basingstoke and Farnborough. Very quick to get to M3.

The room itself was very comfortable and the staff very kind and obliging,answering all our queries with politeness and a smile! Although on a main road rooms were quiet.Breakfast good and evening meal in the restaurant ,although a bit pricey ,was very good.Didn't use the pool but it looked lovely.Special room rate made it excellent value

Value for money, good food and good facilities. Very close to Basingstoke but without the hustle bustle of a city centre hotel, very relaxed. There is a lovely pub/restaurant across from the hotel "The Hoggett" which served lovely food at reasonable prices, well worth a visit.

The breakfast buffet had a fantastic variety of choices.

The temperature in the room was uncomfortably cold for the entire stay.

Evening meal was not value for money. Satnav using postcode does not work. It takes you to the village of Odiham which is the opposite side of the motorway. Head for Hook instead.

The leisure facilities were very good, the pool area and changing rooms were very clean, and the leisure staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly (even with the hicough of no cutlery with the lunch). Breakfast was good and plenty of it even though they were very busy.
